Vanguard Companies Sustainability Goals for 2009

1. Determine Vanguard Packaging's carbon footprint. We will also quantify energy savings and greenhouse gas emission reductions in a geo-thermal environment.

2. Benchmark 8 corrugated facilities or corrugated industry vendors for sustainability practices and apply findings to Vanguard Packaging.

3. Explore opportunities to start a carbon credit program.

4. Reduce average amount of days lost from injuries by raising injury prevention awareness and continuing first aid education.

5. Continue to design with sustainability as a priority. Design lab will produce one case study each month on a concept they designed to be more sustainable.
