Design Details
The Zig-Zag Floor Display was originally designed as a one-sided “Weekender” style floor display to test out a new shelf idea that is currently patent-pending. Our creative design team wanted to pursue further and see if a two-sided version could be engineered. Based on a self-dividing RSC, the two-sided Zig-Zag Floor Display was developed.
The design has three shelves on one side and two shelves on the other side when the header is not used. The top of the display can also be used as a shelf when the header is installed.
Design Execution
The Zig-Zag Floor Display features a patent-pending shelf that assembles faster, allows more product visibility, and is stronger than regular “Weekender” style shelves. The Zig-Zag shelves are supported on the front, sides, and back, instead of just on the front and back for regular weekender displays. The sides of the shelves also feature a finished rolled edge look instead of a raw edge. A half-circle cutout in the back center of each shelf allows one finger removal of the shelf for faster break down and recycling.
The center “wall” section provides the strength required for the shelves and adds strength to the whole display. The unique cutouts on the center “wall” section allow for both shelf support tabs to be inserted at the same time. The design runs effectively and efficiently through the die-cutter and gluer.
